The Canvas

Here are just a few shots of the "Blank Canvas". Our home on Sydney's Lower North Shore. We have just moved in and set for a very major renovation. We meet with the architect tomorrow to talk about major structural changes, but on Thursday Cyril the handyman comes to rip the egg yolk counter tops right out of my life for good. He will also install some open shelving.

Shortly after, the bathroom gets "depinked" and the floors get "debrowned". The list is long and intimidating, but I'm ready! The gloves are on and I'm set transform this . blank canvas into a happy family home that is also hopefully a little bit gorgeous. x Kell

Anna French Has it!

Even if just in a tiny space, I would love a little Anna French for extra cheer. How crazy gorgeous is this wallpaper?!!!!!!

I am imagining it against a white backdrop, floors and all and with this luscious leather sofa I am currently coveting. W has convinced me I cannot have white anymore, but what about this baby? Would even look better with age!

I think I'll Paint This

I am flying to Sydney in the morning and am busily trying to think of ways to settle myself down. I just found this photograph- New York Peony by Gregory Krum. I think I need to paint this.

Nothing Like Pink To Cheer the Soul

I have loved these pink barstool slipcovers since the moment I saw them on Anna Spiro's blog.

I also love these bench pads I spied on Homes and Gardens.

Just had to add some pink myself before I left Chicago. A clever girlfriend ran them up for me out of $1.35 per yard fabric and voila! I got my splash of pink. The new house will have white marble benchtops, so these should do nicely.

Spot the Huntress in the yummy pink dress.

Lets Just Make it White

I am about to move into our new home in Sydney. It has "potential" and we have plans approved for a very major overhaul, but in the meantime, we need to make a not so pretty house pretty. I'm thinking white is the answer.
