White Magic

Loving this by six designs but having recently painted some floors white, I am wondering if this family insists on a "socks only" policy.

New Fave Blog

My new fave blog is www.myfavoriteandmybest.blogspot.com. I have been on a rug search having discovered the perils of white painted floors and 4 kids. I had to do it though, so there are no regrets, but I NEED some rugs. If I found one like the one above I would buy it in a second. I love the wallpaper too. LOVE IT!

I actually own this mirror which my husband purchased for me from Anthropologie a few years ago. Like everything else I own, it is somewhere on a boat in the Pacific slowly making its way to my empty home in Sydney. I knew I loved my things, but had no idea how disorienting it would be to me without them for months! Roll on March 26 when it all arrives into Sydney.

We Belong Together

I need this sofa in my life. We actually belong together. Saw it on Anna Spiro's blog and almost cried tears of happiness. Love the rug too.

Have discovered a fab company in Sydney called Culla Change. They can dye anything from pillows to slipcovers to your wedding dress. They list their prices on their site. I might get my white sofa covers dyed pink for around $185 AD. There are distinct advantages to having a colored blind husband.

Regrets

Should have bought 2 of these poufs from Tazi Designs when I was in the states. I love them. Bummer.

Yellow Be Gone

So We couldn't cop the yellow for another day even though the entire kitchen will be ripped out and relocated in 12 months. We spent Saturday doing a white overhaul and already I am feeling less nauseous. Happy with my quick fix makeover! Painters here tomorrow to tackle the family room.

Fantasy Dinner

Once upon a time my friends and I ate dinner outside under a glorious tree canopy at a beautifully set table in Wilmette. My new house has lots of trees and lots of weeds!!!!!!! My goal is that by December this year, I will be able to hang a chandelier from a tree in our landscaped garden and sit beneath with some good friends and good food. OK....maybe some good champagne too.
